Ryanair issues hilarious comeback to customer's extra luggage charge hack

Ryanair has hit back with a hilarious response on social media after a flyer shared a hack for getting all your belongings on board without having to pay for baggage.

The Irish-owned budget airline is no stranger to a cheeky Tweet or two, often responding to genuine complaints with humour that leaves other social media users in stitches.

This time though, Ryanair was on the receiving end of a sassy dig about their luggage charges. If customers want to bring anything other than a small bag onto their flight, they'll have to pay anything between £6 and £59.99 depending on the size.

After coming across a 'hack' to get out of paying extra, journalist Bobbi Hadgcraft shared a snap of a pair of cargo trousers that were completely covered in pockets.

The Star reports that alongside the picture, she wrote: "Wearing these trousers next time I travel," while tagging Ryanair's official Twitter account.

And it wasn't long before the airline hit back with a savage response of its own.

The airline included a screenshot of the designer trousers from MJB (Marc Jacques Burton) that were listed for a whopping £1,280 on the website.

Ryanair jibed: "'£1,280?' Just pay for a bag, Bobbi."

However, Bobbi felt the purchase of the trousers would make a good "investment".

She said: "Currently have 15 flights booked on the app. This would be an investment."

Finding the savage exchange hilarious, many people fled to the comments to say their piece.

One person chuckled: "It's an investment."

Another user sneered: "Cheaper than paying all of your hidden fees to be fair."

While a third said: "Get to the airport 5 months early to get through security by the time they've searched your pockets and all." Someone else commented: "Hope I'm not behind you in security when they ask you to empty all your pockets."
