Ryanair has received criticism after a customer’s photo from a recent flight went viral.
Of course, we all know Ryanair is a budget airline but, for some, certain cost-cuttings and stretching advertised services push things to the limit. The most recent example comes from our colleagues at the Manchester Evening News.
We’ll let you judge whether this customer who booked a window seat got exactly what they paid for. Posting a picture on Twitter, user MartaVerse shared an image of their seat on a flight.

The problem with the picture, however, is that they paid for a window seat and were instead placed next to the plane's exit door. Writing on Twitter, the user said: "Seriously @Ryanair I paid for the window seat." In a somewhat half-hearted response, the airline's official Twitter account decided to point out to the user that they were placed next to something akin to a window.
However, the so-called window was nothing but a small glass hole a few inches in diameter in the exit door. Other social media users were quick to point out the hilarity of Ryanair's response.
We saw @KameekMusic post: “Imagine thinking this was funny. They've taken someone's money and mugged them off then think they can try to make this socially acceptable by getting people to think it's funny on Twitter.”
While @EliofotouP added: “This is not about luxury but rather what the consumer has paid for. In the EU, there are laws to that effect.” Another @TravisRupertCo added: “Imagine being the social media manager and thinking this is the correct response.”
Concluding @RashOfficial posted: “This is the reply a paying customer gets is it? How on earth is that a window seat?”
