A Ryanair flight heading to Majorca has been forced to make an 'unplanned landing' in France.

Flight FR2347 departed Newcastle Airport at around 8.50am on Tuesday and was flying near Toulouse when it is understood passengers began "smelling burning".

Passengers on board the flight heading to Palma de Mallorca Airport told ChronicleLive they had heard reports of a problem with the plane's engines.
