A RYANAIR flight bound for Scotland was forced to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport with just “minutes of fuel left” after it had to abort three separate landing attempts.

The Boeing 737-800, carrying 171 passengers and six crew, from the Italian city of Pisa had to make the emergency landing with less than a third of its required safety fuel remaining on October 3 last year, it has emerged.
