Holidaymakers planning to spend the summer in Ibiza have expressed their disappointment over the news that Ryanair has cancelled all flights to the island from Liverpool John Lennon Airport this year.
The traditional 'Scouse weekend' to Ibiza looks to be in jeopardy after the news the airline scrapped all flights to Ibiza for the summer months.
Ryanair confirmed it has removed all flights from Liverpool to Ibiza for the 2022 summer season due to a shortage of available slots at Ibiza airport.

Sun seekers will now have to fly from Manchester Airport if they want to get to Ibiza this year.
A Ryanair spokesperson told the ECHO : “Due to a shortage of available slots at Ibiza Airport, this route from Liverpool to Ibiza will not operate for summer 2022.
"UK customers can fly to this popular sunny destination from nearby Manchester Airport, where Ryanair will operate daily departures for peak summer months."
Some ECHO readers were quick to express their disappointment over the cancelled flights with a number of potential holidaymakers commenting their flights had been cancelled.
A customer, who did not want to be named, told the ECHO he and a number of friends had found out about the change after their booked flights from Liverpool to Ibiza in May were cancelled.
He said: "We all got an email telling us our flights had been cancelled and we would need to rebook or get a refund, but when you look online, there are not other flights from Liverpool to Ibiza this year.
"Before they had flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between Liverpool and Ibiza but they are all gone.
"It's really frustrating for us, there are a lot of us flying out at different times and it was all organised.
"We had a plan in place and that has been messed up now."
Commenting on the news on Facebook, Jayne Lewis-Denn wrote: "That's why our flight got cancelled. At least we're there for an extra day and a half now."
Paul Manaton added the extra costs involved in getting to Manchester Airport could cost people more than the flights themselves.
He said: "What you have to remember is any flights taken from Manchester airport, you will be charged the £10 tax on drop off and pick up soon.
"It could cost more than the flight once you have added the taxi fare or parking on."
But Victoria Chiesman said it was "sensible as for many airlines the party flights are the worst with badly behaved, entitled passengers".
With a large number of Ryanair flights running from Manchester, people also questioned if the loss of flights would affect LJLA.
Vaughan Knight said: "More losses to Liverpool airport , car parking, the shops and pubs, eateries and staff.
"Hey we're still going. Thank you easyJet and Manchester airport."
