Ryanair has introduced brand new self-help kiosks at Dublin Airport as they vow to speed up baggage check-in times to just three minutes.
The busy summer season is right around the corner, and Ryanair have just rolled out six new self-help kiosks in Dublin Airport's Terminal 1 at Area 13. The bag-drop kiosks feature a small circular display with a QR code to scan on your phone with ‘Express Bag Check-in’ on the floor, and yellow signs saying: ‘Beat the Queues’.
A spokesperson for Ryanair told Dublin Live: "Ryanair have partnered with Airware to deliver brand new express bag-drop kiosks, ensuring a quick and easy check-in experience of just 3mins max, all conveniently done from the passenger’s phone."

The helpful kiosk allows Ryanair passengers to check their own baggage via the airline's mobile phone app and print their bag tags. However, it should be noted that these bag tags can't actually be used to check in for a flight, they're for the customers' own record.
Ryanair added that they plan to expand their self-service kiosks to Cork and Shannon Airports by the end of June, which they say will "significantly speed up" the check in process. So far, passengers have welcomed the new self-service kiosks.
One person commented on Twitter: "Ryanair's new kiosks are super handy for checking your bags. Great to have it." A second added: "Can't believe just took me less than three minutes to check-in my bag. Definitely helps beat the queues too."
Meanwhile, Dublin Airport is also rolling out new 3D security scanners that will bring an end to restrictions on liquids. Kevin Cullinane daa's Group Head of Communications told RTE's Morning Ireland that the new scanners will "future-proof" the security process and speed up queues at the busy airport.
