Ryanair has expressed dissatisfaction over price increases at Dublin Airport following launch plans for their summer season.
The budget airline recently announced plans for 14 additional routes this summer, with new flights to countries such as Bulgaria, Greece and Italy. Ryanair officials estimate they will carry as many as 16 million passengers this year alone.
However, price increases at Dublin Airport could dampen the airline's growth in Dublin. Ryanair suggested that projects such as the €200 million euro tunnel were not wanted by airlines.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: "Sadly charges are set to rise by up to 45% at Dublin Airport and that will inevitably mean Ryanair locating future aircraft and route expansion elsewhere in Europe. The post covid recovery incentives in Ireland clearly demonstrated that Ryanair responds to lower costs with more seat capacity and new routes."
The charges were discussed at a press conference that took place this morning .The airline maintained that Dublin Airport needed to remain competitively priced in order to align with other European airports, as lower costs were crucial to air travel's post Covid recovery.
The daa welcomed Ryanair's biggest ever summer schedule at today's press conference. CEO Kenny Jacobs stated that aeronautical charges in Dublin Airport remain low compared to peer airports in Europe and described price increases as "modest."
