RTE star Ryan Tubridy took time out of his busy schedule to visit Toy Show star, Saoirse Ruane.
Saoirse was first diagnosed with osteosarcoma in December 2019 and had her right leg amputated as Ireland entered lockdown in March 2020.
The ten-year-old from Kiltullagh, Galway, captured the hearts of the nation on The Late Late Toy Show in 2020 when she spoke about losing her limb to the rare illness.
Saoirse was diagnosed with cancer for a second time last month and underwent surgery on her lung last month.
On Thursday, Tubridy took a trip to see his little pal at her school, where he met with her teachers and her mother.
He said it was a “beautiful way to spend the day” as he posted his day to his followers on Instagram.
He enjoyed tea and cakes while visiting her local primary school, before taking a trip to Saoirse’s house.
“Beautiful family, beautiful story and we’re homeward bound,” he added.
