Ryan Tubridy has shared his plans for the Christmas break as he winds down after a busy few months.
The Late Laye Show host is at Dublin Airport this morning as people return back to the Ireland for a family reunion at Christmas. He told Dublin Live that his presence at the airport has already caused some confusion for people returning home.
RTE Radio 1 is back in the Airport after an absence of three years due to Covid-19 to report on the busy proceedings. Ryan admitted to Dublin Live that he is a big Christmas fan and enjoys celebrating with his family each year.

He said: “I love Christmas. It’ll be a very family orientated Christmas- we’re a nerdy family, shock, so there’ll be Trivial Pursuits and things like that. I love the weather, the walking, having the fire on.”
Some of his classic Christmas traditions include generous pints of Guinness and trips to the cinema after the festive break. He revealed he is going to attend the Muppet’s Christmas Carol in the Stella at some stage.
He also explained that a young woman arriving back from Chicago this morning got a shock upon seeing Ryan Tubridy in the backdrop of her family reunion. Ryan ended up taking pride of place within the family’s photo as a result of the encounter.
Dublin Airport estimates that one million passengers will pass through its gates over the next 11 days. Officials remain confident that flight cancellations and security issues witnessed during the summer will not affect the airport over Christmas.
