Ryan Tubridy has admitted he took home one special memento from the set of the Late Late Show that "means quite a lot to him".

The grey chair, which Ryan conducted countless interviews on, now holds pride of place in his home. The chair is placed directly in front of the presenter's bookcase.

The broadcaster shared the sweet revelation on social media as he showed off his new furniture in a video on Instagram.

He said: "I kept one memento from the set of the Late Late Show, the chair. It means quite a lot to me in its own way."

Ryan continued, joking: "And when I'm not here to sit on it I can let my mentor and friend take over." He then placed a Kermit the Frog soft toy on the chair.

Viewers praised Ryan's nostalgic gesture on Instagram and spoke fondly of the chair's legacy in the comments.

One person wrote: "Delighted you kept it Ryan-so many amazing people were interviewed from that chair... so many memories."

Ryan ended his presenting stint with the Late Late Show on May 26 in an emotional farewell episode. He was gifted a red Vespa from Bono during his final episode as host.
