Ryan Reynolds shocked fans during San Diego Comic-Con 2026 when he revealed during the Marvel Studios panel that he had been walking around the convention in a grey-and-blue Deadpool costume... and that he wasn't just a cosplayer with an extra-impressive suit.
As it turns out, Reynolds had been taking photos with fans all day ahead of the panel... and no one knew. "The fans got Deadpool off the ground so many years ago," Reynolds wrote on Twitter alongside a video montage of him meeting fans. "Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly 2 years after Deadpool & Wolverine, I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world."
