Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds admits he “lives, breathes, eats and sleeps” the Welsh club.
Hollywood actor Reynolds and fellow owner Rob McElhenney have overseen the rise of the Red Dragons from the National League to League One with back-to-back promotions.
The 47-year-old was appearing on BBC One’s The One Show to promote his new film Deadpool & Wolverine when he revealed he once clocked up nearly 10,000 steps watching Wrexham in action.
Asked how he deals with match nerves, he said: “My coping mechanisms as I’ve gotten older are not great.
“One time I checked how many steps I got through during a match and it was like nine-and-a-half thousand.
“I’m like a caged tiger, I live, breathe, eat and sleep Wrexham and the only thing that can derail from that is Deadpool because Deadpool swallows your whole life and that’s the only way to do it, to let it consume you, so I’m so happy to be back now.”
Wrexham are heading to the United States for a pre-season tour where they will face Premier League sides Bournemouth and Chelsea before kicking off their domestic campaign with a home clash against Wycombe.
