Ryan Reynolds got very emotional as he talked about his pregnant wife Blake Lively as he picked up the icon award.
The actor gave a speech as he was given the trophy at the People's Choice Awards on Monday where he spoke about his family.
The 46-year-old gave a heartfelt speech where he also mentioned his three daughters.
He was introduced by his Free Guy co-star Lil Rel Howrey before he took to the stage at Barker Hangar to accept the award.
Ryan talked about having three families, his original family, including his parents and siblings, his work family at his production company Maximum Effort and his "family family," wife Blake Lively and their three children, with another on the way.
The star began to get emotional as he said: "Thank you Blake and my three daughters. It's going to be a fourth child very soon. Blake and my girls, you are quite literally my heart, hope and happiness. I joke that my family exhausts me, but you give me more strength than any man can possibly deserve."
He then joked: "I feel like I'm at my funeral, but I get to leave. I guess I finally tested positive for icon. I have been avoiding it for years, but here we are. The one thing when you get a trophy like this, you don't get one like this without a lot of help from a lot of real icons and folks who aren't always putting their icons iconic energy in front of the camera. Over the course of this long career, there are literally way too many people to mention, but I couldn't remiss if I did mention that it starts with my family and it ends with my family.
"To my mom, three brothers and one of which is sitting over there and to my dad who left us a few years ago. If you could see all the things that have been going on, he would be impressed, but you would be blown away by his three little granddaughters.
"Wherever he is right now, I promise you that he's probably not watching the People's Choice Awards. He cultivated most of his opinions through old episodes of Baywatch, so he's probably doing that is my guess."
Ryan thanked his "original family" for their "unfailing support" as well as his "work family" at Maximum Effort.
He said: "Thank you for bringing me to this moment in my life. My career has taken incredible and wonderful turns, because I get to work with some of the most talented people on the planet every single day. People with skill sets and points of view that are wildly different than my own. I am so grateful how Maximum Effort, this company has not only changed me, but leave space to change others, as well."
