Ryan Porteous has revealed there has been no change to his contract situation at Hibs with his current position 'made quite clear' to the Easter Road club.
The Hibees stopper is out of contract in the summer with both owner Ron Gordon and boss Lee Johnson desperate for him to stay in Leith and extend his current terms. The club say they have made a 'very good proposal' and both remain hopeful he will put pen to paper. But for now the Scotland international has made it clear he just wants to focus on football for now and it could be re-engaged during the World Cup break.
Porteous has been a key man this season for Hibs and has played every single minute of their 12 Premiership games to date. He also featured in the four Premier Sports Cup games in the summer while he earned his first international honours in the Nations League draw with Ukraine that earned promotion to League A, a second seeding for the Euro qualifiers and a guaranteed play-off spot.

Speaking to Edinburgh Evening News, he said: "There's been no update since the last time I spoke to the press.
“We made that quite clear to Hibs that I'll just be focusing on my football for now. When there's a break before Christmas then we could potentially re-evaluate it then.”
Johnson recently expressed concerns over his star man being 'unfairly targeted' and that he could be forced to leave the Scottish game.
However, Porteous says that will NOT influence his decision over his future admitting that he's had a target on his back for a 'long time'.
He added: "Definitely, definitely not. There's been a target on my back for a long time. It's never changed the way I play.
"Obviously, you learn and develop but it's not going to change my on-pitch personality or things like that.
"So no, it's not something which is ultimately going to influence my decision.”
