Slaven Bilic has hailed Ryan Porteous' impact at Watford and reckons the Scotland international can form a formidable partnership with Wesley Hoedt.
The former Hibs defender again impressed in his second appearance for the Hornets in Saturday’s 1-1 English Championship draw with Blackburn.
The January recruit lined up alongside debutant Hoedt in defence and watched as his centre-back partner slammed home the equaliser.
Porteous also found the net on his debut in the 2-2 draw at Reading a week earlier and Hornets boss Bilic is excited about what the pair can offer going forward.
Bilic said: “Both of them are very impressive. They played like a proper partnership in their first game together, and they already have a good understanding.
“They’re both good with and without the ball and are dominant, and Wesley topped it off with a goal which is great.”
