Ryan McLaughlin admits he would consider moving abroad as he looks to secure a new club in January.
McLaughlin has been out of the game since leaving Morecambe back in September.
The 28-year-old has been a free agent since then, but is now ready to kick-start his career once again in the New Year.

McLaughlin - who has won five senior caps for Northern Ireland - admits a "number of clubs' have been monitoring his current situation, and he also says playing abroad is an option for 2023.
"I am still waiting to see where I will end up next, but I will sit down and look at my options in the next couple of weeks ahead of the January window," he said.
"There is some interest in the United States, and playing abroad is something I am definitely keen on doing.
"There is a bit of interest in England and Scotland as well and also the Irish League. There are a good few clubs interested.
"Abroad is a big option. I want to do that before I retire. I had a chance before to go to Toronto, and I sort of regret not doing it.
"I just have to see what I have the best feel for, and I haven't made any decisions yet. But I will definitely be signing for someone in January."
McLaughlin is also on the radar of some clubs in the Irish Premiership, but admits he may hold back on returning home for the foreseeable future.
"There has been interest in the Irish League, and also down south as well. People seeing what I was at," he said.
"I think the Irish League is brilliant and really growing as a product and league, but I am not sure I am ready to return home just yet.
"It is a very good level and very professional, so I would never say never. It is definitely an option and I did speak to people.
"I am only 28 and relatively young, and I still have plenty of ambition within football.
"I just have to keep my options open, and then make a decision in January.
"Travelling abroad was always in my head after I left Morecambe back in August."
