Ryan Mason has confirmed Hugo Lloris is a doubt for Tottenham's Premier League clash with Manchester United on Thursday evening.
Lloris was replaced by Fraser Forster at half-time of Spurs' embarrassing 6-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday. The Lilywhites captain was taken off due to a "muscle problem", it emerged after the game, and the World Cup winner was not pictured in Spurs training on Tuesday.
Now, speaking in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon, Mason said he is unsure if Lloris will be fit for the clash against Erik ten Hag's side. "For the game on Thursday we are still unsure," the Englishman said.

"Obviously [he] had a muscle problem so we are still seeing how that is settling down. Time will tell on that one."
Mason was also asked about the fitness of Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet, who have been recovering from injury issues of their own. "We're going to review them today, we have training in the afternoon," Spurs' acting head coach said.
"We're going to have to see them today. Both of them have been out. Clem came off in a game recently and Ben's been out for a period of time, so I think we will have a better idea on that one after training today."
Davies and Lenglet returned to the Spurs squad for Sunday afternoon's heavy defeat to Newcastle but did not feature as Cristian Stellini instead opted to keep the defensive duo on the bench. Davies has not featured since the 3-3 draw against Southampton while Lenglet limped out of the 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth earlier this month.
The pair returned to training ahead of the Newcastle fixture and could be in contention to play against Manchester United should no problems arise on Wednesday afternoon. Following a poor run of form Spurs could really do with a win against the Red Devils, with three points needed to boost the Lilywhites' Champions League hopes.
On Man United, Mason said: "They've had a good season and won a trophy which is important for a big club. Difficult but fully believe we can get a good result."
