Neil McCann has slated six Rangers players for their fault in Celtic's winner in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.
The former Rangers player also took aim at winger Ryan Kent over his mentality when facing Celtic right-back Alistair Johnston. Jota scored the only goal of the game when he found space at the back post to get on the end of Daizen Maeda's cross after Nicolas Raskin, Borna Barisic and Kent failed to play to the whistle. A number of Gers players stood still while Maeda turned in the box to chip it over to the Portuguese winger.
Michael Beale has not beaten the Parkhead side in four attempts since taking over as Light Blues boss last November, while Rangers have not won a derby game in six attempts. Ange Postecoglou's side are one league win away from retaining the title and with the ViaPlay trophy already in the Parkhead trophy room, will be overwhelming favourites when they play Championship side Inverness at the national stadium on June 3 and few will bet against them completing the clean sweep.
Kent was subbed by Beale at half-time after his lacklustre display in the first 45 minutes, and McCann was not pleased with his attitude. Speaking on Sportsound, McCann said: "They will sit down tonight and I think 'we were better than Celtic', and Michael Beale will come out and probably say that the fine margins again.
"It is that other crucial mistake that four, five, six players in a Rangers jersey are culpable for not taking responsibility when Maeda chips it into the box.
"I was really interested to see how he (Kent) would do against Alistair Johnston today because the last one Johnstone has his number. I think he also had his number, Ryan Kent's mental strength today looked really low because he thought he couldn't get the better of this guy."
Inverness Caley Thistle and Celtic will now compete in the Scottish Cup final on June 3 at Hampden. Billy Dodds' side booked their place in the showpiece on Saturday lunchtime after overcoming League One Falkirk 3-0. A double from Billy McKay and a first-half headed finish from Daniel Mackay was enough to send the Highlanders back to Mount Florida as they attempt to secure their second Scottish Cup title.
