Ryan Kent earns Rangers rave review as YouTube star dubs him 'Kylian Mbappe of Scottish football'

Online sensation Specs Gonzalez has found himself at the centre of Old Firm banter after comparing Rangers star Ryan Kent to Kylian Mbappe and touting him for an England call up.

The YouTube star and online influencer - whose real name is Ferdinand - was asked on Sky Sports’ Social Saturday programme the most unlucky player to miss out on Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad.

And he said: “The one who has been amazing is Ryan Kent for Rangers. I call him the Mbappe of Scottish football.

“He’s been class, he’s destroyed Dortmund - why are we not looking at Ryan Kent?”

That saw the Londoner mocked on social media by Celtic fans and he joked: “Once Ronaldo fans leave, Celtic fans can come into my DM’s. Sorry for keeping you outside.”

Gonzalez, a former PE teacher, appears on YouTube football analysis show ‘FilthyFellas’ which provides a tongue-in-cheek review of the English Premier League.

But his verdict on Kent didn’t go down well with Hoops legions with one writing on Twitter: “Anthony Ralston has more goals this season than Ryan Kent.”

Another joked: “The French call Mbappe the Ryan Kent of French of football.”

And someone said: “ Celtic fans have discovered Specs.”
