Frank McAvennie has backed Leeds United to take a chance on Ryan Kent.
The Rangers star is out of contract in the summer with Michael Beale revealing none of his players heading out of terms come the end of the season have been offered new deals. The 42-year-old has scheduled sit down talks with the former Liverpool man later this month during the international break as they try to thrash out his future.
The duo enjoy a solid relationship that goes back many years with the Rangers attacker starting to rediscover some of his better form under Beale at Ibrox. Kent is one of a large group of players with their futures to be determined with other big names including Alfredo Morelos. Celtic hero McAvennie is in no doubt Kent has talent and would be worth taking a punt on as he is available for nothing. However, he can't see the same for Morelos.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said: "I do not think Leeds will get relegated.
“I can see Leeds taking a chance on him. I can’t see anyone taking a chance on [Alfredo] Morelos. Certainly not in the Premier League.c
“Kent has got talent there is no doubt about that. So, I can see someone thinking they can get the best out of him. Morelos on his day is pretty good but we have not seen that for a long time.
“But I think Leeds might stay up. I think there might be a couple of offers for Kent because he’s available for nothing. You would take your chance on him.“
