Aberdeen winger Ryan Hedges is set to secure a January move to Blackburn Rovers.
The Lancashire side have agreed a fee of £200,000 plus and he's been given permission to travel south in order to complete a medical and complete his switch to Ewood Park.
Hedges had already agreed terms with Rovers but the 26-year-old's pre-contract was not yet signed.
Now he's ready to make the move in this window despite the Dons rejecting a £400,000 bid from the same club in the summer as they pushed to get Hedges on a longer deal.
That remained on the table but Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass admitted a few weeks ago it was unlikely he was staying - and in recent days confirmed the player hadn’t looked himself.
The Dons have now decided to take the money and there will be further add ons, including if Blackburn Rovers were to win promotion to the English Premier League.
Rovers are currently second in the league under Tony Mowbray.
Glass will now look and add a replacement before the deadline.
Aberdeen signed Hedges on a free from Barnsley in a cross-border move back in 2019.
