RYAN CHRISTIE has resisted the chance to take aim at critics of his transfer to Bournemouth last summer.
The Scotland playmaker left Celtic last season to join the Championship side on England's south coast.
He helped play a vital role in the Cherries securing automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
Christie says that was always the aim, with starring in England's top flight a long-term dream of his.
BBC Sportsound's Kenny Macintyre spoke to Christie about reaching the EPL.
He asked: 'It must be nice for you to silence some of the critics who questioned your ambition to move to Bournemouth?"
But the ex-Hoops ace replied: "When I moved to Bournemouth that was my goal. It was to try and get promoted.
"I'm absolutely over the moon that we have managed to get that. Plenty of people have said to me you must be happy to quieten a few people down, but I don't really see it like that.
"My dream was to play in the Premier League. A lot of people told me how tough the Championship was going to be, so I definitely felt that towards the end of the season.
"I knew how big an achievement it was going to be if we managed to do it, and thankfully we got over the line.
"Now it's just a huge excitement waiting for next season.
"It's been such a new experience, but I've loved every minute of it."
