PSV Eindhoven boss Ruud van Nistelrooy admits he was left with major regrets after watch their fierce rivals Ajax run riot against Rangers.

PSV opened their own European group stage campaign against Bodo/Glimt in the second tier competition, but Van Nistelrooy offered a brutal verdict on the showing from Gio van Bronckhorst's men to kick off Group A. When asked if he had been left frustrated when watching the Ajax game by ESPN, he said: Yes, on the one hand it is.
"When you see Rangers play like this, you think: God damn it, how did they get here? On the other hand, we also beat Ajax in the Johan Cruyff Arena. Then you see that football is funny. It can be weird, you know this can happen."
