Ruud Gullit tells Erling Haaland to snub Manchester United and sign for Liverpool

Every top team in Europe will be keeping a keen eye on Erling Haaland as his agent Mino Raiola plots the next move for the Borussia Dortmund star striker.

But one legend of the game believes Liverpool would be the perfect club for the 21-year-old.

Haaland has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all said to be front-runners.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the Norwegian.

Haaland reportedly has a £64million release clause, which becomes active in the summer, but the total cost of the deal could be huge, which could put clubs off, including Liverpool, who have also been touted as an interested party.

But AC Milan, Chelsea and Holland great Ruud Gullet thinks the Reds, and Jurgen Klopp, would be a good fit for the Norway international.

"I see him in England but I don’t think he goes to Manchester United. City would be good for him because of Pep Guardiola. But Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool would also be great,” Gullet told Bild.

“What Jurgen has done with this club is unbelievable. You just have to love him and he’s always hungry. That suits Haaland. In Spain only Real is an option. These are the three clubs that will be in the running for Erling.”

Haaland has once again impressed for Dortmund this season with 23 goals and six assists in all competitions.
