A 'ruthless' door-to-door fish salesman who ripped off customers as old as 105 has been jailed. Craig Henderson earned more than £250,000 by mis-selling fish and intimidating customers into buying at inflated prices, a court heard.
Some 110 victims from across the UK gave statements to investigators. One said she felt pressurised into buying, telling the inquiry team: “He was like having 10 Jehovah’s Witnesses at the door at the same time.”
Sabrina Goodchild, prosecuting, said Henderson, 51, predominantly targeted the elderly or otherwise vulnerable people by aggressively selling door-to-door. Around two-thirds of victims were aged over 60, Ms Goodchild said, two were aged 95-105 and one was even older than that.
