Ruth Langsford reacts as husband Eamonn Holmes gets new TV presenting partner

Ruth Langsford gave her seal of approval as husband Eamonn Holmes got a new presenting partner on Thursday, when he presented his show on GB News alongside broadcasting legend Angela Rippon.

It's been months since Ruth and Eamonn were last seen on screen together.

Having lost their usual Friday slot on This Morning to Alison Hammond at the start of last year, the couple had been acting as holiday cover for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Their new role saw them present for extended periods over Easter and the summer but, after their last stint at the helm, Eamonn made the decision to move to pastures new and make the switch to GB News, which launched last year and also has hosts like Dan Wooton on its roster.

Since joining the channel, Eamonn has been hosting the breakfast show alongside Isabel Webster since the start of January.

But, as Isabel took a break, Eamonn was joined by Angela, the TV icon who, as well as famously dancing on Morecambe & Wise, has presented things like Come Dancing, the Eurovision Song Contest and a whole host of news and consumer shows over her illustrious career.

"@Eamonnholmes has brought a new partner in... the broadcasting legend Angela Rippon!"

Eamonn posted a picture of himself and Angela on his Twitter, with many of his followers also praising the partnership and urging GB News to make it more than a one day thing.

One replied: "Great seeing Angela today such a great broadcaster and looking as lovely as usual. Great pairing Eamonn! Hope we see more of her? Liking Isabel also!"

A second wrote: "Great duo - what a shame it's only for 1 day," with another responding: "Two true, honest & brilliant professionals"
