Ruth Langsford has publicly praised her husband Eamonn Holmes following his very vocal comments about the Phillip Schofield affair.
The Loose Women host posted a heartfelt Instagram message about her partner of 26 years.
It comes after Eamonn hit out at This Morning again as he blasted ‘bad people’ and ‘abuse’ within the TV industry.
Phillip left This Morning, ITV and his management company last month after he admitted that he had an affair with a younger male colleague.
Since then GB News presenter Eamonn has repeatedly branded This Morning – which he used to present with wife Ruth – as ‘toxic’.
However, Ruth made the public post praising her 'wonderful' husband on Father's Day.
Ruth shared a snap of her own father Dennis, who sadly died in 2012 after a battle with Alzheimer’s, and penned: “To everyone like me, missing their Dads today I sent you a big hug.
“And Happy Father’s day to all the wonderful Dads out there, especially @eamonnholmes.”
Ruth and Eamonn share one son, Jack, 21 and Eamonn also has three children from his previous marriage, Declan, 34, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30.
After Phil's admission, Eamonn claimed the 'truth' about Phillip has still not come out.
Speaking about the scandal on GB News, Eamonn said: "I know the truth and I know what the truth is.
"I know what I know and they [ITV] don’t seem to know a lot.
"People take sides on these things, whether it’s the Boris business or the Phillip Schofield business. But people can’t handle the truth."
At the time, Phillip and his younger lover are said to have repeatedly denied claims they were involved.
But it later emerged they had an affair while Phillip was married and he had not yet publicly come out as gay.
Phillip then sat down for an interview with the BBC after he admitted to the ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair, it then emerged ITV conducted an internal investigation into the claims three years ago.
ITV CEO Carolyn McCall even faced questions from MPs about the scandal and denied ‘turning a blind eye’ to the rumours, claiming the relationship was ‘repeatedly denied’ by both parties.
But Eamonn has since called for ITV bosses to prove they thoroughly investigated Phillip’s behaviour on This Morning.
He said: “They use all the usual nonsense and rubbish that they talk about, but they have to investigate.
“When they investigated and they asked Schofield did you have an affair with this guy, which is what they didn't ask - I know exactly what they asked.
“And they then asked the young lad (Person X) involved in all of this. They need a transcript of what actually took place that day because that was not a thorough investigation.”
ITV has since appointed a barrister to conduct an external review into how the scandal was handled.
