Ruth Langsford jokingly accused Phillip Schofield of calling her 'well dressed mutt' during Monday's This Morning.
As usual, Phillip and his co-host Holly Willoughby crossed over to the Loose Women ladies during the show to see what was coming up on the lunchtime series.
However, just before the link, 41-year-old Holly said: "Right still to come... he's got the paw-fect Jubilee accessories. Gyles [Brandreth] is back to show you how our dog can take part in the celebrations too.
Father-of-two Phillip then added: "On the subject of well-dressed mutts, in just a moment we are joined by Sweep and Sooty as well to hear about their exciting new project."
"First though, it's time to find out what the Loose Women are talking about this lunch time," Holly then said, before adding: "There they are, hi Ruth!"
Ruth could be heard laughing along with her fellow panelists Judi Love, Denise Welch and Kéllé Bryan.
Explaining the laughter, she told Holly and Phil: "I'm so sorry, when Phillip said, 'talking of well dressed mutts', we all went, 'sorry, sorry!'"
Bursting into laughter himself, Phillip began clapping as Ruth eventually said: "Right, coming up with us well dressed mutts," before woofing for the camera.
Fans of the Loose Women star may recall she filed a complaint against Phillip and it followed an on air incident in April 2019, which saw him interrupt her while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during an episode of This Morning.
Her husband and co-presenter Eamonn Holmes spoke out against Phil earlier this year over his apparent ''passive aggressive'' manner as he took aim at ITV following his exit.
Speaking about their time on This Morning, Eamonn said: "Phillip is renowned for snubbing people.
"He's very passive-aggressive. It's up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.
"I have a good Belfast street fighter in me… I would be direct. I don't go for presenters who think they have a special privilege or aura or influence."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
