Rust filming to resume next year ‘with Alec Baldwin’ after Halyna Hutchins death

Rust will resume production after a settlement was reached with the estate of Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on set.

The western film’s production was shut down after cinematographer Hutchins was shot and killed on the film’s set on 21 October 2021 in New Mexico.

New York has just declared a state of emergency as measles cases continue to rise. So far this year, the US has recorded 3,887 cases of measles, the highest annual total since 1991. That is about 70% more cases than were recorded during the whole of 2025.
