The Russia plague mystery has intensified after MIT biologist Kevin Esvelt questioned Moscow's response to the unexplained death of a laboratory worker in Siberia, even as the World Health Organisation seeks further information about the case.
Darya Shipilova (28) worked at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East, where she was hospitalised on 29 September and died early on 2 October after developing severe pneumonia.
