Russians In London Protest Putin's War On Ukraine Anniversary

Russian President Vladimir Putin chairs a Security Council meeting in Moscow

Russians in London gathered to mark the two-year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by denouncing Russian President Vladimir Putin. Approximately 250 individuals marched outside the Moscow embassy, calling for an end to the war and demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine. The protesters labeled Putin's actions as genocide, showcasing a strong stance against the leader known for suppressing dissent.

One protester highlighted the significance of the demonstration, emphasizing the presence of many Russians who oppose Putin's regime and have faced repression in Russia. The protester stressed the importance of continuing to speak out against the ongoing conflict.

During the demonstration, participants also paid tribute to Alexei Navalny, the prominent Russian opposition leader who recently passed away in a prison located in the Arctic region. Navalny's death further fueled the protesters' resolve to challenge Putin's government and its policies.
