KYIV: Russia struck at least six energy targets during overnight and morning attacks across Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday, arguing that the strikes showed Moscow had no intention of observing an energy ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump.
Under pressure over high energy prices ahead of next month's US midterm elections, Trump blindsided Kyiv and its European allies over the weekend by declaring that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to stop attacking each other's energy infrastructure.
