The parents of Andrey Kozlov, the Russian citizen who was recently freed from captivity in Gaza, are eagerly anticipating their reunion with their son in Israel. The Israeli foreign ministry has confirmed that Kozlov's parents will arrive in Israel on Sunday morning to be with him.
Consul General Ran Gidor and Deputy Consul General Tal Shvartsman have been providing assistance to Kozlov's parents throughout this challenging time. Kozlov, who moved to Israel a year ago, was working as a security guard at the Nova music festival when he was abducted by Hamas on October 7.
Since his release, the 27-year-old has been under medical care at Sheba Hospital in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv. Itai Pessach, the head of the hospital's returning hostages team, has reported that Kozlov and the other hostages are all in stable condition.
Russia's ambassador to Israel expressed his happiness at Kozlov's freedom during an appearance on Russian state TV. Anatoly Vikrotov conveyed his joy for the released hostages, particularly Andrey Kozlov, and highlighted the support provided by Russian authorities to Kozlov's family over the past eight months.
