In recent developments in Ukraine, Russian cruise missiles and strategic bombers have reportedly caused casualties, killing at least four people and injuring 38. Concurrently, Russian troops have been making attempts to encircle the key town of Avdeevka, just north of Russian-controlled territory.
The situation in Avdeevka is becoming increasingly challenging for the Ukrainian forces, who have been struggling to defend the town. Complicating matters further, the Ukrainians are running critically low on ammunition, making it exceptionally difficult to counter the so-called 'meat assaults' carried out by the Russians. These assaults involve small units of assault troops repeatedly attacking Ukrainian positions with the aim of eventually breaking through.
