A US official has reported that Russia has gathered a significant force, including North Korean troops, to launch an assault on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region in the coming days. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned the presence of around 11,000 North Korean soldiers in the region, where Ukraine's military activities have faced a standstill.
According to reports, approximately 50,000 Russian and North Korean troops are expected to participate in the upcoming assault. Ukrainian commanders have confirmed the involvement of North Korean troops in combat operations in Kursk and defensive operations in neighboring regions.
