Russia admits no part of country is safe from Ukraine’s long-range strikes

  • Ukraine successfully carried out long-range strikes on two Russian military aircraft repair facilities in Novgorod and Ulyanovsk, located approximately 800km from the border.
  • The attacks resulted in damage to hangars, parking areas, and several planes stationed at the facilities.
  • Following the strikes, Sergei Shoigu, a close aide to Vladimir Putin, warned that no part of Russia is safe from Ukrainian long-range capabilities.
  • Shoigu stated that Ukraine's advanced drone development means even the Ural region, over 1,500km from the border, is now considered to be in immediate danger.
  • He also claimed that Ukrainian aerial strikes on Russian infrastructure surged nearly fourfold in 2025, with more than 23,000 attacks recorded.
