Russell Brand swears at Edinburgh guests after they turned up late to his show

Comedian and actor Russell Brand jokingly swore at guests in Edinburgh while performing in the EICC on Sunday evening.

While travelling for his '33 tour', the 46-year-old stopped past a popular brunch spot after taking a selfie with the staff of Scran's Edinburgh.

The public speaker and prominent comedy figure posted snaps of the city to his Instagram labelling the city "beautiful" as he explored the Capital.

However whilst things were going well during the tour, it seems Russell Brand was distracted by later comers as well as torches from what seemed to be staff.

Speaking during his show the comedian said: "What's going on over there? It's like one of them Edinburgh ghost tours."

In a Scottish accent he continued: "And over here that's Greyfriars Bobby's ghost."

Back in his own accent, he then proceeded to joke and swear at the guest and what seemed to be staff adding: "Turn your f***** lights off. Sit down.

"Turn all the house lights on. All the house lights on.

"Right. Sit down. Sit down for f*** sake. What's going on? Mental. People bowling about with torches and that.

"What about you, you mad gothic lunatic? Going out with a skater guy - that can't last. It's a cultural mismatch.

"They might love each other what do we know?"

People loved the jokes however with many flooding to the comments praising the comedian for a night to remember.

One said: "What a night! Enthralling is the word. My brain could just about keep up!"

Another added: "Oh my gosh! I love the Edinburgh ghost tours! Great memories of trips in the past."

A third commented: "Brilliant on your feet."
