Popular funny-man Russell Brand was spotted in a selfie with the staff of Scran in Edinburgh, as he went for a jaunt around the capital's city centre ahead of his performance at Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
The author, public speaker and prominent comedy figure performed in the EICC on Sunday evening with his brand new '33' tour, branded: "performing stand up on the strangeness of the last 18 months: what have we learned and not learned?
"And how do you ‘get back to normal’ if you’ve never been normal?"

The comedian was spotted grinning for a selfie with the staff of Scran in Edinburgh, as he toured around the capital.
Posts of a piper on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle in all it's glory and prepping for the crowd in soundcheck were all a part of Russell's Instagram snaps on Sunday.
He posted a thank you to the audience after his show finished, writing: "EDINBURGH last night! On to Glasgow this evening."
In the photos, Russell can be seen posing with fans for selfies, performing on stage to the masses, and getting bear hugs from Edinburgh locals who enjoyed his set.
Many fans flocked to Russell's social media to praise the performer for his show, with one Instagram user writing: "Was an amazing night. Thank you Russell and your team."
Another said: "Thank you so much for such an awesome evening, loved every minute."
And a third wrote: "Absolutely brilliant night! My belly hurt from laughing so much. come see us again soon!"

Russell will perform at Glasgow's SEC Auditorium on Monday, May 9, which is a sold out date in his lengthy UK tour.
