Russell Brand rape accuser did not think police would believe her, court hears

Friends and family of one of Russell Brand’s alleged rape victims told a court she did not go to police at the time because she “didn’t think she would be believed”.

Brand, now 51, is accused of raping a 21-year-old fan after meeting her at one of his Hammersmith Apollo gigs in 2009.
