Ruslaan box office collection Day 6: Aayush Sharma records big drop in collections on Wednesday

As the week progresses, the box office fate of Aayush Sharma's latest venture 'Ruslaan' seems to be dwindling, with the film witnessing a significant drop in collections on its sixth day of release.

According to early estimates on sacnilk.com, the action-packed flick managed to rake in a mere Rs 43 lakh, marking its second-lowest collection since hitting theatres. This disappointing figure comes in the wake of Monday's lacklustre performance, which garnered approximately Rs 40 lakh. With just one more day remaining before completing its first-week run, 'Ruslaan' is anticipated to conclude week one with a meagre collection of around Rs 4 crore.

Despite being crafted on a budget of Rs 20 crore, the film is struggling to gain momentum at the box office. Its growth has been further been restricted by stiff competition from Ajay Devgn's sports drama 'Maidaan', currently dominating the box office, and the action extravaganza 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in leading roles.

'Ruslaan' had initially garnered attention with the backing of superstar Salman Khan, who extended his support by urging fans to catch the film in theatres. However, post its debut weekend, the movie has failed to draw significant audience interest, boasting an overall 6.77% Hindi occupancy in cinemas.

For Aayush Sharma, 'Ruslaan' marks his third cinematic venture and unfortunately, his lowest-performing release to date. The actor, who made his debut with 'Love Yatri', was last seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in the 2021 film 'Antim'.
