A rural Georgia farmer who voted for President Donald Trump in 2024 says she now plans to vote for Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff in November after a friend's father was deported.

Laura Leigh Taylor, 37, from Smithville, Georgia, told KFF Health News that the deportation changed how she views the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. Taylor described her friend's father as hardworking and focused on supporting his family.
