Drag Race host and iconic drag queen RuPaul took a trip to Welsh seaside town Barry Island last year and told viewers of his new quiz show, Celebrity Lingo, that he stayed in the 'finest' hotel in the town.
RuPaul, whose new quiz show airs on ITV on Sundays, was talking to Charlotte Church and her quiz-partner, Carys Eleri, about being from Wales and revealed he'd visited the place made famous by sitcom Gavin & Stacey because the couple had old friends who lived there.
"Charlotte and Carys, I have friends who are Welsh and went to stay in Barry, a year and a half ago. My husband and I went and we stayed in the most luxurious Premier Inn they had in Barry," RuPaul said, while laughing.

Charlotte, who loves a dip in the sea at Barry's Whitmore Bay, couldn't believe it, saying: "No way!"
Ru loved asking the pair Welsh-related questions and earlier in the show, RuPaul asked the Welsh duo if their could say a sassy Drag Race quote in Welsh and Carys duly obliged.
"Do you know how to say 'you better work' in Welsh?"
Yes I do," Carys laughed and sassed back: "Well i ti weithio, Ru!" Then the host attempted to say the Welsh version but it was... slightly unintelligible.
