Season 15 of RuPaul's Drag Race has been announced with a great cast making up the group of new queens. Starting in 2009, RuPaul's Drag Race has continued to grow year on year with franchises of the programme popping up all over the world captivating audiences. Most recently, Cardiff drag queen Victoria Scone has made an appearance on Canada vs The World, where she and other drag queens from competitions around the globe are competing for a cash prize of $100,000.
With season 14 of the US program awarding its winner a cash prize of $150,000 and the runner-up getting a nice $50,000, competitors are motivated now more than ever to get to the top of the competition. With 16 new drag queens competing for the crown and only seven months since the end of season 14, RuPaul is already looking for another drag superstar as the franchises continues to grow.
With the largest cast on a season to date, one contender, Sasha Colby, is the name on everyone's lips with some even going as far as saying she could be the Beyoncé of the season. A legendary queen in the US drag scene, Sasha has won the prestigious drag Miss Continental title and is one of the favourites for the new Drag Race season.

In the first time in the series' herstory, siblings are set to compete on the new season. Sugar and Spice, siblings hailing from Los Angeles, have already conquered the digital world with over seven million followers on TikTok. Whilst Drag Race is known for its intense challenges that have sometimes seen seasoned queens tap out, it's not known what will happen once siblings are forced to compete against each-other. The new season of RuPaul's Drag Race season 15 premieres on January 6 on MTV, but is available at 2am on January 7 in the UK via the WOW Presents Plus app.
