Ruler’s Pentakill propels undefeated Gen.G to LCK Cup 2026 glory

After being knocked into the lower bracket earlier in the tournament by Gen.G, BNK FEARX clawed their way back to the grand finals for a shot at revenge.

But when it mattered most, Gen.G once again proved untouchable, dismantling the Foxes in a commanding, clean 3-0 sweep to complete their unbeaten run at the event and claim the LCK Cup 2026 title at Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong.

While BFX managed to take a game off Gen.G in the upper bracket, the rematch told a very different story. This time, it was a statement performance from Ruler in Game three, whose explosive Pentakill in the grand finals crushed any hopes of a comeback and firmly put the series out of reach.

Coming into the tournament as favorites, Gen.G looked disciplined and composed throughout the group stage and playoffs. Their macro remained clean, their objective control suffocating, and their teamfighting sharp. But in the biggest moment of the tournament, it was their veteran ADC who delivered the Pentakill highlight that fans will remember.

The decisive fight broke out around the Baron when Gen.G was already ahead by 6k gold. With Gen.G getting ahead in dragons, the margin for error was razor-thin for BFX. As the engage came through, Ruler held his ground, kiting back while his frontline absorbed the initial burst. Once the cooldowns were burned, Gen.G turned, and he stepped forward and tore through the opposition one by one.

A Quadra Kill quickly turned into a Pentakill as the final fleeing member was stopped by Chovy’s Annie, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The ace gave Gen.G full control of the map, and they marched down mid to close out the series and secure the title.

The win symbolized Gen.G’s domestic dominance at LCK. Their coordination in teamfights consistently put Ruler in positions to succeed, and he repaid that trust with immaculate positioning and damage output. Alongside Ruler, Canyon did an amazing job, especially in game two with his Ambessa, where he secured multiple objectives to push the team forward.

Across the finals, Ruler and Canyon were the focal point of Gen.G’s late-game insurance, quietly farming advantages before exploding when it mattered most. Known for his consistency and composure under pressure, Ruler once again proved why he remains one of the most feared AD carries laners in Korea.

Gen.G’s undefeated run through the LCK Cup 2026 sends a clear message ahead of the First Stand 2025 to other teams. Both the finalists will be travelling to Brazil to play in the year’s first international tournament.
