Rugby World Cup 2023: When does England play next?

The Rugby World Cup 2023 quarter-final matchups have been announced, with two games taking place in Marseille and two in Saint-Denis.

All matches take place on the weekend of Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15.

When does England play in the Rugby World Cup next?

On Sunday, October 15, at 4pm, England will play the Group C runner-up.

ITV will broadcast live coverage of the match at the Stade de France in Paris.

The Red Roses will compete in the final ninth match for the eighth time in 10 World Cup competitions.

After Japan defeated Samoa and Steve Borthwick's team wrapped off Pool D with a shaky 18-17 victory against Samoa, their third triumph in three games, England was assured a spot in the knockout round.

Who will England play?

The quarter-final match will be against Fiji, despite the team suffering a defeat by Portugal on Sunday, October 8.

Luckily for Fiji, they simply needed one point from the game to advance to the round of eight.

The quarter-final will include a rematch of England’s last tournament warm-up game, which ended in a shocking loss as the Fijians won against the English for the first time ever.

Argentina was beaten by England to advance from Pool D as the best team.

Borthwick’s team will play Pool C’s second-place team, Fiji, who have fluctuated throughout this competition after taking first position in their group.

Only if they advance to the semi-finals will England face a team ranked among the top five in the world. And in a one-time knockout match, anyone can win.

A referee is yet to be announced for the quarter-final match.

Sunday, October 15
