Crossing the whitewash. A joyful moment that crowns a successful breach of the opposition defence. But this time, it ended sourly for Vodacom Bulls' Chris Smit.
An exhibition Bulls XV took on Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein last weekend in a Toyota Challenge match. Their main team were entertaining Connacht in the United Rugby Championship.
Bulls inside centre Smit knocked himself out whilst attempting to score a try - a moment that has, unfortunately for him, taken the internet by storm.

Smit dives with the ball to perform an emphatic finish, loses control of it, causing it to slip down his body- before landing on top of the ball with his head crashing to the ground.
A clip of the incident has picked up a mammoth 1million views in one day on TikTok.
'Locked Down Spectator' made a YouTube video analysing the incident and dubbed it as "one of the most bizarre moments you will ever seen on a rugby field". It's hard to argue with that.

The try didn't stand and the referee gave a goal line drop out to the Cheetahs.
Despite being on his feet minutes after the incident, Smit didn't look confident, so was stretchered off the field. The match finished 17-14 to the Cheetahs.
The new competition 'Toyota Challenge' did initially involve Free State Cheetahs, Italy A, Emerging Ireland, USA National A and Windhoek Draught Griquas. However after Italy A's withdrawal from the tournament, Vodacom Bulls entered a select 15 side to take on the Cheetahs.
Each match of the tournament has r250,000 up for grabs, which is equivalent to over £12,000.
