Ronan O'Gara has revealed the truth behind a photograph which sees him with hands in his pockets upon meeting the Queen.
The photo was taken at a civic reception shortly after O'Gara helped Ireland beat Wales in Cardiff to clinch the Six Nations Grand Slam in 2009.
It features Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll introducing Her Majesty to a number of Ireland players to shake hands, but appears to show O'Gara with his hands in his pockets upon meeting her.

However, 'ROG' as he is widely known, rubbished the claims that he snubbed the handshake.
"I don't have any strong beliefs on the monarchy, I'd like to think my parents reared me well," he previously told Paddy McKenna back in 2017 in a 'Frank and Honest' interview series. "You're respectful to older women, to women in general.
"My hands were sweaty. I had my hands in (my pockets). I was cleaning my hands from sweat to make sure there wasn't a layer of sweat before I shook her hand."
O'Gara, who is now La Rochelle head coach, has recently been tipped by The Telegraph to take over from Eddie Jones with the England job.
