A French Bulldog, a breed so coveted by buyers during Covid lockdown, had been surrendered by a family who reported having 'no time for him.
Ruedi was surrendered to Friends of Rescue NI earlier this month aged three.
The charity reported: "He arrived with us after he was surrendered due to his family not having time for him anymore."

"His foster mum says he loves his toys especially his ball but can be stubborn and not give it up at times.
"He enjoys a walk and will try and race you out the front door if you're trying to leave. Rudi enjoys the simple things in life…food, toys, walks and a comfy place to sleep - he’s a bit of a snorer.
"Ruedi could live with dog-savvy kids or older kids and another dog following a successful meet and greet.
"He loves to be petted and will happily cuddle up on the sofa. He loves playing in the garden. He's the best at stealing toys and food. He's great with children and other dogs but may bark at dogs he doesn't know."
