Ex-Jambos legend Rudi Skacel has revealed he won't be featuring during Gary Locke's testimonial match.
Hearts take on Stoke City at Tynecastle this Saturday in a pre-season friendly to help honour former star Gary Locke's year of service to his boyhood club. Locke played for, captained, coached and managed over several spells at the Edinburgh club. And earlier this month Record Sport reported that fellow legend Skacel was set to return to Gorgie as Robbie Neilson 's continue in their pre-season preparations.
Skacel was due to take part in the half-time penalty shoot out as well as being interviewed on the pitch in front of sure to be adoring fans. But the clash will go ahead without the participation of the Czech due to "unforeseen circumstances". The 43-year-old has been left gutted, noting that he was looking forward to honour his "pal" as well as reuniting with the Tynecastle support once more.
Posting on social media, he let fans know: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm unable to attend the match on Saturday. I'm sorry I can't be there to celebrate Hearts legend and my pal Gary Locke's big day and I'm sorry I won't be able to come back to Tyncastle to see all the fantastic supporters once again.
"I hope to see you all again soon. Rudi x".
