Ruben Neves has admitted that he previously didn't expect to still be at Wolverhampton Wanderers this season amid transfer interest from a number of Premier League giants.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool as well as Arsenal during the summer transfer window, which slams shut in just five days' time. But it's only one team who'll be happy to hear his answer to questions surrounding his current status.
In an interview with The Times, Neves confessed that he misses Champions League football, with Liverpool being the only club of the interested trio who'll compete in Europe's premier competition this season. Having featured in the group stages and knockout phase while at Porto as a teenager, the Portugal international is keen on returning to the top table - but he's content at Wolves for now.
